Perceptions of Permission in marketing is becoming an increasingly important topic as filters become stronger and easier to use, and government continues to regulate.  The infographic by RegReady shows the results from over 1,000 consumers and marketers on their feelings about Permission.

Some results are not what one would expect!

  • Consumers 55+ feel less strongly about companies sharing their personal information for marketing purposes
  • Citizens of Illinois feel the strongest that permission is needed before they can be marketed to on their mobile devices.
  • Both marketers and consumers agree that explicit permission is necessary for mobile marketing.
