  1. I’m sure things like acupuncture and hypnosis can work for some. I can’t help but wonder, though, how many people could avoid having to get outside treatment for depression at all if they just tried the no-cost, commonsense options first — getting more sunlight, getting more exercise, engaging in more social activity, and so forth.
