There were only 3,695 Planoites back in 1960 but by 1980, the population had reached 72,000, and by 1990 128,713 residents called Plano home. Since then Plano has shown no sign of slowing down.
Today, Plano has exploded into a city of 270,000 people and is a high-tech economic powerhouse drawing in major corporations and highly-skilled employees to join its already astounding roster of Fortune-ranked companies and rock-solid labor force.
