When you learn something new, the involved synapses change. Once the information is stored, the more your recall what you’ve learned, the more simultaneous the process becomes. This same reaction occurs when learning any new information, including a new skill. What’s even more amazing, is that as you learn, your brain actually grows!
While the brain may be incredible, it is also sensitive. Staying up late and feeling fatigued can cause problems in the cortex, which is the main area in the brain for storing information. It’s also becoming common knowledge that learning things slowly, over a period of time, is most beneficial for memory. This infographic from Best Education Degrees looks at “the science of study.”
