Breakfast is commonly said to be the most important meal of the day, but this expression can be applied to a wide variety of breakfast dishes depending on where you live.
The pancakes, eggs, and bacon that are found in a classic American breakfast are vastly different from the traditional breakfast dishes in other countries around the world. In fact, the classic breakfast dish for some countries looks more like something you might eat for a large dinner.
In other countries, common breakfast dishes don’t differ that much from what they eat for lunch or dinner. Some countries were even found to have special breakfast dishes that are only eaten on Saturdays and Sundays. Weekend breakfasts are seen as a celebration in some cultures, and that’s one celebration we can certainly get behind.
In the following infographic, Kulick’s Pancake Recipes did some research and rounded up 50 breakfasts around the world, with each very different and distinct to its people and culture.
