The team at AAA State of Play presents a new way to judge American cities with this map ranking them by playfulness. Playfulness is defined by 10 factors that included the number of parks, playgrounds, and children’s museums, along with other things that make a city fun and child-friendly.
Las Vegas was a surprising result, although it’s certainly a fun haven for adults. With so many of the factors involving activities and locations that children enjoy, it was a real surprise to see Sin City earning such a high score. New York was a clear favorite since it’s full of famed parks and museums, and Minneapolis, a naturally beautiful city, is also rich with parks and biking opportunities.
