A “powerful” passport is one that allows holders to travel to as many countries with as few restrictions as possible. The team at Italian Dual Citizenship determined which countries offer the most and least access to Visa-free visits to countries around the world. They found that the United Arab Emirates passport is the most powerful, granting access to 179 countries with no Visa.
The lowest countries on the list, Syria and Afghanistan, offer Visa-free access to fewer than ten countries. Many of the countries on this weakest passport list require a Visa for Americans to visit and have further travel warnings and restrictions against them.
