Cybersecurity is a constant threat to businesses in the modern era. According to Ooma’s graphic, businesses the world over will spend over $1.25 trillion on cybersecurity in 2025. This number makes sense when we consider that cyberattacks are estimated to cost businesses five times that amount.
Not all business sectors are at equal risk. The team found that some industries are targeted much more frequently than others. Unfortunately, many of the most targeted sectors are essential to daily life and economic stability. That’s why cybercriminals and national actors target these areas the most.
