Rove Lab brings us a fresh look at vacation with a study examining where Americans are most likely to take a staycation. As the name implies, a staycation takes place in your home. Staycationers save their travel money and instead turn to their own location and home for a relaxing time out.
People choose staycations to save money, avoid travel stress, and explore their local community or enjoy their own home. This is a perfect time for people to indulge in hobbies, sleep in, and take care of themselves. They can spend time with pets that can’t travel with them. It’s also the most sustainable choice for traveling. Rove Lab found that North Dakota is the number one hotspot for staycations, followed by Hawaii.
