Companies that operate across borders should be aware that AI sentiment among the workforce can shift dramatically from country to country, as this new Qualtrics survey shows. Worker feelings are an important consideration when rolling out new AI tools, and a change that works well in Jakarta or Mexico City might face stronger opposition in Toronto or London.

According to the team’s survey, only 31% of American workers and 26% of British workers believe AI will improve their work lives. This is dramatically different from India, where 46% of workers think it will improve their jobs, and from Brazil, where 46% of workers think the same.

What companies can learn from this is that the same AI deployment will need different communication and training based on location, maybe even from company to company. Employee sentiment should be a major consideration in AI rollout planning, and this data can help form those plans.
