There is a long history of science fiction featuring the benefits of consequences of introducing AI to a future society. Now that the future is here, this fascinating compendium from AIPRM gives us a look at the ways we’ve imagined AI over the decades.
The first AI character in a movie made an appearance nearly 100 years ago in 1927’s classic film, Metropolis. AI isn’t just limited to films though. The list includes icons from television, comic books, and video games too. Icons like GlaDOS from Portal and Legion from Mass Effect are on the list.
