It is believed that up to 90% of UK schools contain asbestos, a deadly material known to cause diseases such as mesothelioma, lung cancer, asbestosis and pleural thickening. Here is an infographic which showcases the stats surrounding the real threat to children in UK schools and gives some food for thought as to why the problem isn’t necessarily going to go away any time soon.
