A new study from the team at Ooma reveals which nation’s citizens spend the most time in front of a screen. Excess screen time is linked to poor health and other negative effects.

For example, younger people generally spend the most time in front of a screen, but they’re most vulnerable to negative effects. Their prefrontal cortex is still developing, and they are more vulnerable to possible consequences like increased likelihood of sleep disruption, ADHD, depression, and obesity.

The team found that people in less developed nations spend less time in front of screens because they have limited access to digital technology. It also seems that more affluent people spend less time with screens, likely because they can afford other forms of entertainment.
