In the U.S. alone, over 23 million Americans are estimated to suffer from alcohol and/or drug-related addictions. According to the anti-drug campaign, DrugAbuse.gov, substance abuse in the U.S. costs taxpayers a whopping $600 billion, annually, in expenditures induced by crime, lost work, productivity, and healthcare!
