We’ve all heard those songs about using drugs or getting drunk at the club. In these days of super-extreme free speech, there really isn’t a need for lyrical innuendo in music any longer, but in past decades, society wasn’t quite as liberal. Musicians oftentimes hid their tales of drug use behind vague and cryptic metaphors, leaving a lot of room for speculation by fans.
