Franchises play an important role in both the global and American economy. In the United States, over 750,000 franchise establishments are operating and employ around 8.17 million people.
Regarding franchise owners, 30% own their franchise for less than two years while 20% own their franchise for over 10 years. Over half of franchise owners own two or more franchise establishments, and 12% of franchise owners are 34 years old or younger.
