Buying a house is a process many people go through during their lives and what things people value when searching for a house often changes with their age.

Members of Generation Y look for smart home technology, open-floor plans, and accessible locations while members of Generation X focus on quality school districts, garage/storage facilities, and upgraded kitchens. Baby Boomers value hardwood flooring, laundry rooms, and energy efficient windows, and the Silent Generation are sold on smaller homes with minimal maintenance, master bedrooms and bathrooms on the main level, and locations close to friends and family.

Here is an infographic from Del-co Realty Group that looks at how the home-buying process changes with age.
