Data science and machine learning-related jobs represent five out of the top 15 growing jobs in America today, according to LinkedIn co-founder Allen Blue. Machine Learning Engineers, Data Scientists, and Big Data Engineers rank among the top emerging jobs on LinkedIn. Profiles for those job categories increased 9.8X as compared to just five years ago.

The US Bureau of Labor Statistics forecasts 11.5 million new jobs in data science and analytics within the next 10 years, but Intel estimates that there are only 1 million R programmers worldwide today, and the entire Kaggle data science community is only 2 million members so far.
