Loss of bone density is a normal thing that occurs as we get older, however some of us experience bone loss at a more rapid or increased rate as a result of Osteoporosis. In fact, more than half of the U.S. adult population over the age of 50 have Osteoporosis, but most don’t notice that they have the disease until they break a bone. The best way to diagnose Osteoporosis is to perform a bone density test.
