With Apple Podcasts now hosting over 550,000 active podcasts and a whopping 18.5 million episodes, podcasting itself has never been more popular. In fact, right now more people (64% of the U.S. population) know what a podcast is, compared to who their vice-president is (40%). What’s more is that those that do listen to podcasts, seem to be highly engaged by them, as most people (80%) listen to entire podcast episodes or at least most of the episode.
