With a history spanning 600 years, it’s not surprising that there’s more to coffee than meets the eye. The earliest evidence of coffee cultivation comes from the port of Mocha in Yemen in the 15th Century. By the 16th Century, coffee had spread to the Middle East, Turkey and Persia (now Iran).

Today, $4 billion is spent each year importing coffee to the U.S. As coffee drinking has become more prevalent around the world, different styles of coffee drinks have been introduced.
