With over 20,737,047 miles of roads covering the earth’s surface several manufacturers are investigating the use of environmentally friendly options as well as safer markings and lights. One exciting invention is currently being trialled in Brabant, Netherlands, using inductive power transfer. This would remove the need to stop and refuel, and it is hoped wireless electric vehicle charging could be in place by 2018.
