Awareness ribbons are a common symbol placed on pins, stickers, accessories, and t-shirts. They have become so popular that each color symbolizes more than one issue.
With so many ribbons and colors and patterns, it can be hard to identify what they mean. The team at Wizard Pins set the record straight with the following infographic displaying each ribbon color and pattern along with their meanings.
Purple is the most common awareness color with over 50 meanings. When certain colors accrue so many meanings, it can be difficult to tell what meaning to give that color when you spot it out and about. That’s why the team included a convenient monthly guide to awareness colors too.
In addition to the popular colors, you’ll see less common ribbons like puzzle pattern, red and blue, and burgundy and gray.
