Toyota Corolla was ranked as the most reliable vehicle by claim rate. This news comes as a sigh of relief to countless drivers as the Toyota Corolla was also the second best-selling car in 2012. Highlighted in the infographic below by Endurance Vehicle Protection, pickup trucks were found to be the most reliable (29% claim rate) type of vehicle being driven, beating out minivans (41%), sedans (34%), and SUVs (39%) in terms of claim rate. It is hypothesized that pickup vehicles held up better than the rival car types because of a more rigorous manufacturing process due to the general “rugged” driving that most pickups endure.
