The team at Joslyn Law Firm examined the vast amount of data on American overdose deaths to determine which drugs were the most deadly in 2022.

In addition to sorting death numbers by drug type, the infographic is full of facts that point to important factors that affected the data.

For example, the team states that the DEA seized 77 million fentanyl pills in 2023, which is enough doses to kill every American. Sadly, this dangerous drug is finding its way into too many American lives. 7 out of 10 synthetic opioid pills contained deadly amounts of fentanyl in 2024.
