In the unpredictable time of Covid, booking flight tickets that offer no flexibility on cancellations or flight changes are not attractive.

Airlines generally consist of three classes: economy, business and first. Then within these classes, you can usually book different types of tickets. An example is the ‘basic economy’ ticket, which doesn’t allow you to choose your seat, check-in luggage or change your flight. The second option is frequently named ‘flexible fares’, and this ticket comes with many attractive perks.

The last two years have seen countries suddenly closing borders and travel restrictions appearing from all corners of the globe. Nobody wants to be paying huge penalties if they have to change or cancel their flights. So, since Covid 19 took over, many airlines started offering much more flexibility on all of their tickets to ensure their customers’ trust.
