Is the holiday season really complete without a movie night that features a cozy blanket, hot cocoa, and your favorite Christmas film?
A new study from PixlParade shows that many Americans make a point of watching a seasonal movie during the holiday season. The team’s survey asked 2,000 Americans to choose their favorite holiday film from a curated list, and there are some clear winners.
National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation is the champion of Christmas films across America. 31% of survey respondents chose it as their favorite film and it’s the favorite in 31 out of 50 states. A Christmas Story is close behind, the favorite in 10 states, and Home Alone is the favorite in 5 states. Some states have more whimsical tastes and chose How the Grinch Stole Christmas. The team’s map makes it clear that holiday movie tastes can vary wildly across the country.
