In recent years, the prevalence of homelessness has risen drastically to levels that rival the Great Depression era. Many people would like to address this problem and help unhoused people get back on their feet.
The team at Mortgage Calculator offered insight into what many people point to as a possible solution. They compared the number of vacant houses to the number of unhoused individuals in each state. The map truly creates an eye-opening comparison highlighting the number of people in the U.S. who are suffering compared to the resources at hand.
