The team at MovingPlace conducted a comprehensive study to identify the ZIP codes where renters can most affordably buy their own property. The study results are based on a comparison between average income and average monthly mortgage payments.
It’s interesting to see in the results that some cities have high-income renters who make it onto the list of ZIP codes where renters could afford to own, but move to a different ZIP in the same town, and you’ll land on the list of locations where renters cannot afford to own.
